Interviews of 2009 Class 3A state champion Lions

All 11 starters from Lyons Township were interviewed following Saturday's 2-1 overtime victory over Lake Zurich in the Class 3A state title match at North Central College in Naperville. Listen to their comments about winning a state championship.


Dan Wielgos, a senior defender, contributed two assiststs and helped his team to record 19 shutouts.

Brian Heimerdinger, a senior midfielder, ended the season with seven goals while adding eight assists.

Sully Fox, a senior goalkeeper, posted a 0.75 goals against average in the 24 matches that he was in the net.
